The 2020 season of the Brazilian team begins on the weekend with the International Challenge, at Tancredão, in Vitória (ES). There will be two clashes against Chile, one on Saturday (01) and another on Sunday (02), both at 3pm. The match is part of the preparation for the Copa America in March. After the Challenge, the Brazilian delegation travels to Orlando (USA), for the Intercontinental Cup dispute.
The two teams were the best South Americans in the last World Cup, with both facing each other in the decision of the third place. Midfielder Marcelo Fattori was in that campaign and believes in balanced confrontations. “In recent years, we have noticed the evolution of Chileans and I believe that this time they will come even stronger. On the other hand, we have also renewed a lot and good players have appeared from all over the country. I hope we can start 2020 on the right foot and getting ready to win the Copa America and the World Cup ”, he said.
The player is in a good phase after helping Chapecoense / BMH to win the first national title last weekend. Fattori comments on his satisfaction in representing for the fourth year in a row the selection. “The expectation is always very high, wearing the shirt of Brazil is what every athlete seeks. I am privileged to be entering the fourth year in a row with the national team, ”he says.
The International Football Challenge will be on Saturday (01) and Sunday (02), at 3 pm, at Tancredão, in Vitória (ES), with free admission. The matches will be broadcast live from REDETV throughout the state of Espírito Santo and also on the FIF7 Facebook page.
